Information for Members without a vehicle: Did you know that you can use your myki card on V/Line trains between metropolitan Melbourne and certain destinations like Bendigo, Geelong, Ballarat, Seymour, and Traralgon?
The Yarragon Public Hall is only a short walk from the Yarragon Railway Station and you can get to this lovely country town by travelling on the Traralgon V/Line train and getting off at the Yarragon Station. The cost of train travel is very reasonable (not sure exactly but under $10 each way). So make sure your myki card is topped up and relax in air-conditioned comfort. The train trip takes approx 1 hour 20 mins from Caulfield Station and even less if you board from Clayton, Dandenong or Pakenham.
The train travels through to Pakenham and beyond, all the way down to Traralgon / Sale etc. Use the V/Line website to work out which station you can board because V/Line trains only stop at designated major junctions on the suburban line. Work out your boarding times for your journey there and back etc. Go to the V/Line website to do this. V/line Traralgon Line The provided link is for train travel on the Saturday down to Gippsland, so adjust the date for Sunday travel. Also, click on the 'To Melbourne' directional timetable located at the top left-hand corner of the webpage to work out your return train timelines. Recheck the website prior to travel so that you are made aware of any scheduled track works etc that might have an impact on your trip.
