Mordialloc Railway Station Level Crossing Removal Project

Works are now underway for the removal of the level crossing at McDonald Street and closure of the Bear Street level crossing to make Mordialloc level crossing free by 2026.

*** Please note, at this stage trains are still stopping at Mordialloc Station but if travelling by train, you should keep yourself informed of any changes.

February works in Mordialloc

Site establishment is now underway and crews are continuing to prepare the area for major construction later this year. What is planned for February,  continue site establishment works, install temporary fencing and concrete barriers, update and reconfigure pedestrian crossings, relocate underground utilities, and start vegetation removal. Road

Nepean Highway lane closures at times from early February. Albert Street lane and road closures between Ashmore Avenue and McDonald Street, and between McDonald Street and Bear Street at times from early February. Barkly Street closed between McDonald Street and Bear Street in mid February. Station Street lane closures between Attenborough Road and James Avenue in early February.

Bus

Bus route 706 stop closures from late January until late 2026.

Parking

Albert Street on-street parking closures from late January until late 2026. 48 car spaces in the Mordialloc Station car park near Bear Street closed from early February to early April. 70 car spaces in the Mordialloc Station car park near McDonald Street closed from  mid-February until mid-April.
